In my Photography I course the second project covers the principles of telling a story with a series of still photos. Photo-journalism, or ‘Reportage’, uses the same principles of camera angle and scene sequencing as used in video or film story-telling. Students studied the photo essays as seen in the archives at Time.com and then went into the field to explore and record an activity or event. Short excerpts from longer essays are included here.
