In the third project of course Photography I, students selected a favorite photographer, and then analyzed the formula required in order to reproduce photographs ‘in the style of’ that photographer. After isolating the content studied, the technical controls preferred such as lighting, and the final emotive effect, student crafted their own photographic images. The goal of the project is for students to practice a method for research and self-instruction, as well as to appreciate the relationship between variables such as content and technical elements, and the resulting emotive effect of photographic images.
